Frequently asked questions

What is an in-frame kitchen?

In recent years, customers have been searching for high-quality kitchens that will stand the test of time, rather than spending less on a mediocre kitchen that’ll need replacing much earlier.

With an outstanding reputation for fine craftsmanship and extra detail, in-frame kitchens have become more popular than ever.

Framed kitchens have an additional border that surrounds a door front, adding plenty of visual interest and extra detail to the look of your kitchen cupboards.

In-frame doors take inspiration from traditional cabinet furniture construction to create a beautiful, timeless feature that’s synonymous with long-term durability, strength, and quality.

Adding in-frame kitchen cabinets to a traditional shaker-style kitchen will not only provide an elegant look, but it’ll give your home a more luxurious feel, too.

What are the benefits of an in-frame design?

Boasting a timeless design and long-term durability, what’s not to love about framed kitchens?

Inframe kitchens look beautiful no matter your kitchen style or personal taste – whether you prefer a classic feel or want to add traditional contrast to your contemporary kitchen space.

All our in-frame designs are made-to-order, fitting the exact dimensions of your room, so you can utilise every inch of your kitchen when cooking up a storm and entertaining guests.

The framed detail is perfect for creating a high-end look that’s unique to your home while adding strength and protecting the edges of your cabinet doors.

Our collection of inframe kitchens is also available in a wide selection of colours, including on-trend shades, meaning you should have no problem finding a hue to complement the rest of your interior.

Another great thing about inframe kitchen units is that, when hung onto solid wood using exposed hinges, cabinet doors are much less likely to sag over time – reducing the need for replacements.

What is the difference between in-frame kitchens and frameless kitchens?

The key difference between framed and frameless kitchens is whether or not there is a face frame (a visible frame running around the outside of the cabinet doors and drawer fronts).

In-frame styles tend to offer a more traditional, hand-crafted appearance, whereas frameless kitchens provide a more sleek and modern look – perfect for minimalist kitchen designs!

With an inframe kitchen, the doors are set in a visible frame which creates a unique design feature. The doors are then attached to the face frame using decorative exposed hinges.

A frameless kitchen, on the other hand, doesn’t have a visible frame around the drawers and cabinet fronts – providing an ultra-modern and sleek look.

High-pressure laminate technology is used to conceal the cabinet edges, allowing for the doors to be fitted directly to the kitchen carcass, usually with soft-close hinges.

I can highly recommend Graham and the team at Kitchen Love Ormskirk. From the first measure and design meeting in our home, Graham totally got what we were hoping to achieve. He enhanced our ideas with his design flair and expertise. He kept us updated as things started to take shape and the final design was wonderful and incorporated everything we’d hoped to see in our dream kitchen.

Kitchen Love delivered what they said they would from initial inquiry through to completion. A rarity in my experience. Their standard of work is excellent and whilst they overran a little on the expected finish date the final results were well worth it. I would recommend them without any hesitation.
